MRF's association with cricket goes all the way back to the 1980s. MRF took it to the next level in the 1990s when some of the world's best batsmen wielded bats sponsored by MRF, playing unforgettable knocks that swept many cricket lovers through a whole range of emotions. In the current era, AB deVillers, Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan are blazing the willow as they play some memorable knocks.
In 1992, MRF set up the MRF Pace Foundation that has now earned the reputation of being the most sought after institution for honing bowling skills across all test playing countries. Several international bowlers including Brett Lee, Shoaib Akhtar, Shane Bond and Glen McGrath have undergone training at the MRF Pace Foundation at some point in their illustrious career. The MRF Pace Foundation was earlier managed by Dennis Lillee and now Glen McGrath is appointed as the Director of Coaching.
